Nedia Island

Nedia Island was a small island landmass located off the northwestern tip of the Nucholian Empire. It was primarily inhabited by colonies of kenku. In 1927 PR, Nedia Island disappeared for reasons related to the Kraken.

History

Nedia Island has historically been associated with rumors of sunken, disappearing, and destroyed ships. Sailors have been known to hesitate to or even outright to refuse to sail through the area around the island for fear of these rumors, even though sailing near Nedia Island is the fastest path west of the Nucholian Empire.

Kenku

The majority of Yon'ver's kenku population lived on Nedia Island. When the island disappeared, they were stranded at sea, and had to row back to shore.

Disappearance

In 1927 PR, Nedia Island disappeared from the northern ocean of Yon'ver. This is because Nedia Island was not a naturally created landmass, but the carapace of the Kraken, an ancient thalassic monstrosity. When the Kraken was released from its Imprisonment by Kaladin Rakkan, it awoke and began to move, causing Nedia Island to disappear, and stranding the kenku who lived on it.

This was followed by a battle in the seas near Nedia Island between the Kraken and three Star Spawn of Cthulhu.
