Floyd Lampy is a taxidermied jackal with the ability to emit magical light from his eyes, who was gifted to The Cloudy Fools by Phoebe Le Rouge in exchange for an item of sentimental value. He was awakened by El in 1928 PR, and emits light which can cut through magical darkness. He wears a sombrero and has an Australian accent. Before he was awakened, his owner was Kaladin Rakkan, and now that he has sentience, cannot be owned.
Spifi Barkhide is the High Priestess of the Children of Mystra, who was beloved by the populace of the Sunwalian Theocracy. She was assassinated in 1927 PR at the age of 298 by Mahilk Chad, Kaladin Rakkan, El, and No-Teeth. In 1928 PR, she was resurrected in Drakengar by Mahilk Chad with a True Resurrection spell, aided by the patronage of Syrune Evioro.

Soon after, she was gifted magical power by Mystra in Abellio, Arcadia.

Aberden is a fortified city built by the dwarves within a mountain, and is the capital of the Nucholian Empire.

History
Access
There are very few ways to access Aberden, and most humanoids live and die without seeing the inside. The first and most common method is to be a dwarf, or to have a significant dwarven lineage. This generally limits the potential pool of visitors to citizens of the Nucholian Empire. Having a dwarven lineage can include marrying a dwarf of high status, such as one in the royal family. Kaladin Rakkan gained entrance to Aberden this way, by marrying Lovreas Jaderiver. The second method is to perform a large act of heroism for a dwarf, allowing them to personally vouch for your entrance. Mahilk Chad and El gained access this way, along with Kaladin, by saving Lovreas's life at the hands of Fiovaux.

Aberden is guarded by Doorman, who sits at the top of the mountain which serves as the entrance. Doorman asks for family lineages before access is allowed. Permanent spells prohibiting teleportation into Aberden were put in place by Thordan Leadbow.

Kaladin Rakkan is a half-elf adventurer in Yon'ver. He is a member of the adventuring party The Cloudy Fools, and is married to Lovreas Jaderiver. He is a warlock serving the Kraken as his patron, as well a sorcerer, drawing aberrant magical power from his mind.

Appearance
Kaladin is 5'9", and appears rather athletic due to his time as a sailor. His eyes are a deep blue, and his hair is an inky black. His skin is a tan obtained from working long hours in the sun.

Relationships
Kaladin's parents are Lily Rakkan and Alinar Dae'wyn. His closest friends include El, Mahilk Chad, and Jebirea. He is married to Lovreas Jaderiver.

He has sworn himself in magical service to the Kraken as a warlock. His familiar is a quasit named Slinky, who sometimes takes the form of a toad, centipede, or bat.

Powers and Abilities
Kaladin possesses many magical powers, mostly attributable to his relationship with the Kraken. Early in his adventuring career, he was primarily a warlock of the Kraken. Including casting spells like Misty Step, Control Water, and Invisibility, he became able to:
* cast a powerful Eldritch Blast
* summon masses of tentacles to hold creatures in place
* breath water and temporarily grant others the ability to breathe water
* change his appearance with illusory magic at will
* temporarily see through walls
* summon his familiar, Slinky

Later, Kaladin made a deal with the Kraken, obtaining the powers of a sorcerer by drawing from an aberrant mind. This granted him access to metamagic and an increased number of spells. The nature of the changes to his mind allowed him to cast certain spells without verbal, somatic, or material components, use telepathy, and increased resistance to psychic effects and damage.

Kaladin also possesses a number of magic items. They include the following:

* All or Nothring
* Staff of Frost
* Necklace of Adaptation
* Misspell Book
* Petrified Kelp Ring
* Floyd Lampy, before his awakening

Abilities
Kalashtar Abilities
Mahilk has abilities granted by his race as a Kalashtar, with an inner Quori spirit:
*Severed from Dreams: Kalashtar sleep, but they don’t connect to the plane of dreams as other creatures do. Instead, their minds draw from the memories of their otherworldly spirit while they sleep. As such, Mahilk is immune to magical spells and effects that require him to dream, like the Dream spell, but not to spells and effects that put him to sleep, like the Sleep spell.
*Psychic Glamour: Advantage on all ability checks made with persuasion.
*Dual Mind: When Mahilk makes a Wisdom saving throw, he can his your reaction to gain advantage on the roll. He can use this trait immediately before or after his roll, but before any of the roll's effects occur.
*Mental Discipline: Resistance to psychic damage.
*Mind Link: You can speak telepathically to any creature he can see within 60 feet of you. He doesn't need to share a language with the creature for it to understand his telepathic messages, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language or be telepathic itself. As a bonus action when he's speaking telepathically to a creature, he can give that creature the ability to speak telepathically to him until the start of your next turn. To use this ability, the creature must be within 60 feet of Mahilk and be able to see him.

Grave Cleric Abilities
Mahilk has abilities granted by his class and subclass as a Grave Cleric:
*Ritual Casting: Mahilk can cast a cleric spell as a ritual if that spell has the ritual tag and he has the spell prepared.
*Circle of Mortality: When Mahilk would normally roll one or more dice to restore hit points with a spell to a creature at 0 hit points, they instead use the highest number possible for each die. In addition, they learn the Spare the Dying cantrip, which doesn't count against the number of cleric cantrips they know. For Mahilk, it has a range of 30 feet, and he can cast it as a bonus action.
*Eyes of the Grave: As an action, Mahilk can open his awareness to magically detect undead. Until the end of his next turn, you know the location of any undead within 60 feet of you that aren't behind total cover and that aren't protected from divination magic. This sense doesn't tell him anything about a creature's capabilities or identity. You can use this feature a number of times equal to his Wisdom modifier (10). He regains all expended uses when he finishes a long rest.
*Channel Divinity: When Mahilk uses Channel Divinity, he chooses which effect to create. They must then finish a short or long rest to use Channel Divinity again. When they use such an effect from this class, the DC equals their cleric spell save DC (18). He can use his Channel Divinity twice between rests When he finishes a short or long rest, he regains his expended uses.
**Turn Undead: As an action, Mahilk presents his holy symbol and speaks a prayer censuring the undead. Each undead that can see or hear him within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. If the creature fails its saving throw, it is turned for 1 minute or until it takes any damage. A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from him as it can, and it can't willingly move to a space within 30 feet of you. It also can't take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there's nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.
**Path to the Grave: As an action, Mahilk choose one creature you can see within 30 feet of him, cursing it until the end of his next turn. The next time he or an ally hits the cursed creature with an attack, the creature has vulnerability to all of that attack's damage, and then the curse ends.
*Destroy Undead: When an undead fails its saving throw against Mahilk's Turn Undead feature, the creature is instantly destroyed if its challenge rating is at or below a certain threshold.
*Sentinel at Death's Door: As a reaction when Mahilk or an ally that he can see within 30 feet of him suffers a critical hit, he can turn that attack into a normal hit. Any effects triggered by a critical hit are canceled. He can use this feature a number of times equal to his Wisdom modifier (10). He regains all expended uses when he finishes a long rest.
*Potent Spellcasting: Mahilk adds his Wisdom modifier to the damage he deals with any cleric cantrip.
*Divine Intervention: Mahilk can call on the god Hades to intervene on his behalf when his need is great. Imploring your deity’s aid requires him to use his action. He describe the assistance he seeks, and rolls percentile dice. If he rolls a number equal to or lower than his cleric level (15), Hades intervenes. The DM chooses the nature of the intervention; the effect of any cleric spell or cleric domain spell would be appropriate. If Hades intervenes, he can’t use this feature again for 7 days. Otherwise, he can use it again after he finishes a long rest.

Early Life
Mahilk was born in 1269 PR, in Aleaak, a walled mountaintop city in the Hounhilian Empire.

Magical Training
Mahilk spent his early childhood raised in the spiritual guidance of the elders in his community. This entailed gaining control and understanding of his Quori spirit and innate psychic nature as a Kalashtar. As a young adult, Mahilk chose to become a Grave Cleric and worship Hades as his primary god. While undergoing his studies, Mahilk became largely nocturnal and rarely left his home, only leaving to undertake grave digging for his community. It was around this time he found Bones wandering the streets of Aleaak, and adopted him for his unique spot arrangement, reminiscent of a skeleton. On completion of his studies, Hades granted Mahilk the ability to use magic in his name, as well as the ability to discern where people’s souls travelled when they died. Mahilk began using his magic and keen psychic intuition to study fortune telling as a hobby.

Exile from Aleaak
In Marpenoth 1296 PR, three high elders of Aleaak spiritual society died within 10 days of each other. Mahilk had visions of each in the Fiendish Planes, interpreting this as a sign of their moral demise while alive. Mahilk reported this to the Kalashtar leaders, who exiled him from the village for heresy. After leaving the city, Mahilk began travel north of Aleaak, keeping along the eastern boarders of the Hounhilian and Nucholian Empires, eventually ending up in Krorat.

Adventuring Career
Personal Life
Mahilk's upbringing focused on an individual's dual Quori spirit, which is inherently fluid and transferrable. Because of this, he does not place emphasis on gender distinctions, and views them also as fluid and transferrable. Mahilk appears confused when asked about his gender and sexuality, but places little emphasis on defining either. This prevents Mahilk from fully comprehending that he is gay, though he already lives his life as a queer person. Mahilk's gender will never be fully understood or recorded, though he presents masculine.

Mahilk is casually intimately involved with Jenves Dhunesath, and has shown interest in others.

Mahilk normally enjoys music, when it does not have catastrophic side effects. His music taste (if in the modern world) has been approximated.
There are three permanent members of the Cloudy Fools: the half-elf warlock and sorcerer of the Kraken, Kaladin Rakkan, aarakocran druid and scholar of the ancient society of TumunDahk, El, and cleric and envoy of Hades, Mahilk Chad. ==Meeting==
In 1927 PR, Kaladin, El, and Mahilk met in the city of Cloudwall to receive aid for items that were damaged during the natural disasters that occurred during that time period. While they were there, they, along with No-Teeth, were briefly brought under the control of magic that caused them to attack and kill the Head Priestess of the Children of Mystra, Spifi Barkhide, who was present. The party narrowly escaped being captured by Sunwalian guards, and agreed to travel together for mutual support.

*Destroy Undead: When an undead fails its saving throw against Mahilk's Turn Undead feature, the creature is instantly destroyed if its challenge rating is at or below a certain threshold, as shown in the Cleric table above.
*Sentinel at Death's Door: As a reaction when Mahilk or an ally that he can see within 30 feet of him suffers a critical hit, you can turn that attack into a normal hit. Any effects triggered by a critical hit are canceled. You can use this feature a number of times equal to his Wisdom modifier (10). He regains all expended uses when he finishes a long rest.

Mahilk is casually romantically involved with Jenves Dhunesath, and has shown interest in others.

Mahilk normally enjoys music, when it does not have catastrophic side effects. His music taste (if in the modern world) has been approximated.
As such, you are immune to magical spells and effects that require you to dream, like the Dream spell, but not to spells and effects that put you to sleep, like the Sleep spell.
*Psychic Glamour: Advantage on all ability checks made with persuasion.
*Dual Mind: When you make a Wisdom saving throw, you can use your reaction to gain advantage on the roll. You can use this trait immediately before or after you roll, but before any of the roll's effects occur.
*Mental Discipline: Resistance to psychic damage.
*Mind Link: You can speak telepathically to any creature you can see within 60 feet of you. You don’t need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic messages, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language or be telepathic itself. As a bonus action when you’re speaking telepathically to a creature, you can give that creature the ability to speak telepathically to you until the start of your next turn. To use this ability, the creature must be within 60 feet of you and be able to see you.
States of Yon'ver
To the far west lies the Principality of Panvilia, a proud, somewhat isolated nation populated primarily by humans. Panvilia is led by the young and headstrong Nala Blazebough, who has recently succeeded her late father, King Brin Blazebough. The principality is home to many deciduous forests where orc tribes roam. The capital of Panvilia is the city of Neuvy.
Sunwalian Theocracy
Bordering Panvilia is the Sunwalian Theocracy, a land of tropical forests populated mostly by forest gnomes. Their leader, High Priestess Spifi Barkhide, lives in the capital city of Liront and worships Mystra, the goddess of magic. ===Whaken===
Beneath Spifi Barkhide’s kingdom is the land of Whaken, a chaotic region with a slightly cooler climate. Whaken is home to a frankly concerning quantity of goblins, who do not build settlements themselves but have claimed the ruins of an ancient Yuan-ti society. The largest city, which the goblins refer to as Edfairse, is a violent hive of smugglers and thieves led by a particularly strong hobgoblin named Zabbel the Knife. Zabbel keeps to himself, but is quick to anger and has slit the throats of many he deemed to be challengers to his throne of rubble.

Hounhilian Empire
Moving further east, we find the temperate plains of the Hounhilian Empire, home of the high elves. The high elves, who are led by the reclusive Syrune Evioro, consider themselves to be the most ‘advanced’ of any of Yon’ver’s kingdoms. They have constructed several metropolises throughout their territory, the most impressive of which is named Drakengar. The high elves are a secretive bunch who do not welcome visitors. They are constantly looking to expand their empire… through strictly upright political mechanisms, of course.

Nucholian Empire
Above the Hounhilian Empire is the Nucholian Empire, both the largest and the oldest state in Yon’ver. Mountain dwarves live inside of the hills and valleys of this region, swearing fealty to their patriarch, Beldan Leadbow. Beldan is a patient and intelligent man, but he absolutely loathes Syrune Evioro, who he considers to be his rival (she would never admit it, but she regards him in the same way). The two empires have never truly approached an all-out conflict, but they have spied upon each other for generations, both leaders waiting for the other to step out of line.

Grung Rainforest
To the north of the Nucholian Empire lie warm rainforests that the dwarves avoid due to the ever-growing population of grungs. Grungs are frog-like humanoids who live in a rigid caste-based society and consider art and violence to be one and the same.

Skartu
To the east of the Nucholian Empire, we find the kingdom of Skartu. The north of Skartu is home to locathah, a peaceful fish-like people who adore the wetlands of the region. Most of Skartu, however, is home to roving bands of satyrs, fickle fey creatures who live, laugh, and love to equal extremes. Their leader is a ‘general’ named Chion who occupies a forest settlement named Sarigis. Though the satyrs are not nearly orderly enough to have ever engaged in an organized conflict, Chion is a fearsome fighter and an even more fearsome drinker.

Kholuk
Next is the coastal kingdom of Kholuk, home to the massive tree-top cities of the aarakocra, a bird-like people with an advanced electoral system of government and a scholarly approach to life. Their leader, who lives in Tumunda, is Governor Ecca, a birdman who is part president and part poet. The aarakocra live in harmony with firbolgs, peaceful giants who live in scattered swampy hamlets across Kholuk.

Kingdom of Cyfalos
The eighth region of Yon’ver is the Kingdom of Cyfalos, a land of diverse biomes populated by elephant-folk called loxodon. Their leader, who rules from the capital city of Is, is King Rolruj, a caring man who has led the loxodon for nearly 300 years. The loxodon have positive political relationships with all of the other kingdoms, and are respected across Yon’ver as a sort of intermediary nation. The northwest of Yon’ver contains a few nomadic tribes of goliath, massive people who seem to be carved from the very rock they live upon.

Other places of note
Yon’ver contains many locations of note, such as the Yellow Goat Tavern, the Clirostian Lighthouse, and the Domyuer Bridge, as well as many environmental landmarks.

Rival settlements of tieflings from all demonic backgrounds have recently popped up on the outskirts of the Hounhilian Empire, Whaken, and the Sunwalian Theocracy. Most of these tieflings are cultists of the fire deity Kossuth who have chosen to live in this area due to its proximity to Mount Wadewick, a dormant volcano in the center of Yon’ver. The tieflings hope the volcano will one day erupt and purify the land in Kossuth’s holy flame.

Nedia Island was a relatively small landmass off the northern tip of the Nucholian Empire, inhabited mainly by small colonies of kenku. In 1924 PR, the island disappeared, stranding the kenku who lived on it at sea.

Somewhere in Yon'ver is the Largest Boulder of Yon'ver, which has yet to be officially located and recognized.

The continent of <strong>Yon’ver</strong> is a diverse fantasy world set in the middle of a vast unexplored ocean. It contains eight distinct states, each with their own customs and system of

States of Yon'ver
Principality of Panvilia

The residents of the Sunwalian Theocracy are fully devoted to their High Priestess, and even more dedicated to the teachings of Mystra.
