'''The Fool's Aftermath''', known by many other names across Yon'ver, is the term used here to refer to the period from 1927 to 1928 PR characterized by supernatural events, including natural disasters, a powerful magic weaved into most instrumental music, and greatly increased international political conflict. These events affected all of [[Yon'ver]], as well as the neighboring planes of the [[Feywild]] and the [[Shadowfell]]. They were mostly attributable to the influence of [[Fiovaux]], who desired to destroy civilization.

==Effects==

===Violent Musical Influence===
Fiovaux made it so that instrumental music would induce violent impulses in those who heard it, causing massacres of people in places where music was played. This was responsible for many deaths. This effect had some notable limitations -- the music had to be played from an instrument, so vocal music would not spread it. If a sound was not sufficiently "musical" enough, the influence would not spread. It also only worked on the Material Plane, the Feywild, and some other planes, but did not spread to extraplanar spaces and the Astral Plane.

===Dominating Control Through Music===
Fiovaux was also capable of playing music to exert fine manual control on listeners, such as forcing [[Lovreas Jaderiver]] to walk off a cliff, as well as (presumably) directing [[Darragh]] to kill the two Queens of the Fey Courts. [[Syrune Evioro]] was also placed under the effects of this music for an extended period of time, but kept her sanity.

===Disruption of Natural Order===
Possibly as an after-effect of the deaths of the Queens of the Fey Courts, the natural order of the Material Plane was disrupted during the Aftermath. Natural disasters occurred in many places simultaneously, such as the eruption of [[Mount Wadewick]], terrible blizzards occurring over [[Liront]], and great storms plaguing [[Edfairse]]. The seasons were also halted, pausing sometime around early autumn, and the weather was permanently "partially cloudy."

They met in 1927 PR, and are directly or indirectly responsible for many events across the continent, including the death (and later resurrection) of [[Spifi Barkhide]], the disappearance of [[Nedia Island]] due to the release of the [[Kraken]], and the retrieval of both the [[Potential of Infinity]] and the [[Crescent Cutlass]]. They have dedicated themselves to preventing the negative effects of the [[Fool's Aftermath]].

==Members==
There are three permanent members of the Cloudy Fools:

* half-elf warlock and sorcerer of the Kraken, [[Kaladin Rakkan]]
* aarakocran druid and scholar of the ancient society of [[TumunDahk]], [[El]]
* Kalashtar cleric and envoy of Hades, [[Mahilk "Chad" Chad]].

Others have joined the party for brief periods of time, including [[Jebirea]], [[Sigs]], [[Lovreas Jaderiver]], [[Weakchin]], and others.

==Meeting==
In 1927 PR, Kaladin, El, and Mahilk met in the city of [[Cloudwall]] to receive aid for items that were damaged during the natural disasters that occurred during that time period. While they were there, they, along with [[No-Teeth]], were briefly brought under the control of magic that caused them to attack and kill the Head Priestess of the Children of Mystra, [[Spifi Barkhide]], who was present. The party narrowly escaped being captured by Sunwalian guards, and agreed to travel together for mutual support.

Some time later, Lily learned there were many people like her, those who found themselves more powerful, more cunning, or more skilled than their friends and family, who were driven to a solitary life honing their own abilities. Most people called them adventurers. She had found herself a teacher in a more senior adventurer, who gave her formal combat training, and taught her how and when to use her rage to her advantage. She had even formed a party with her new friends, and wandered for a while, seeing what the continent had.

Eventually, she realized she had accomplished her goal -- her rage was well under control, and at this point she was much more of a trained warrior than a raging barbarian, even though some called her Blood-Red Lily for how she sometimes arose from a vicious melee, dripping with both her blood and enemies'.

==Retirement & Marriage==
She told her party she was retiring, and although they were sad to see her go, they wished her well.... except for one person. Alinar Dae'wyn, an elven bard, proposed to her on the spot. Some say love blooms wherever it is planted, and it seemed the battlefield was no exception.

They settled down, and eventually had a child on the way. They were ready -- she would them strength, and he would teach them cunning. Until Alinar was called for one last job, one request to celebrate his retirement. He promised to return within the month.

Lily waited, but Alinar never returned. It hurt -- losing a loved one always did -- but adventurers did not stay adventurers for long if they could not handle loss. Lily moved on, as always -- if their child could not have two parents, one would have to do. The child was born, and she named him Kaladin. From his looks alone, she knew he was his father's child.
